Hello!! Thank you for stopping by n.r.b crafts. Today I would like to share with you an easy way to create two cards at the same time using the same materials. This form of creating cards is one of my favorites because its one of the fastest ways to create two cards at once. So with out further a do lets get into how to made these wonderful cards.
I started these cards by die cutting the word "THANKS" towards the bottom of a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. In hindsight I should have die cut the word after I had done my stamping, live and learn. I used the built-a-flower Anemone Coronaria stamp set from Altenew. I began stamping one of the flowers towards the middle and around the edges of the paper. Once I finished stamping the flowers I then planned out where I wanted the leaves by placing the stamps on the paper in the places I liked. When I was happy with where the leaves would be placed, I noticed there would be some overlap with the flowers and leaves so I used the coordinating die cuts to cut out some masks out of some sticky notes to cover where the leaves and flowers overlapped.
Once I finished stamping the out lines (first layer) of the flowers and leaves I took some light purple (Lulu Lavander) ink and some light green (new sprout) ink from Memento. I continued to use the masks I had previously made to make sure the colors didn't overlap. For this card I wanted a soft color for the flowers and the leaves and these two color were perfect combination for that soft feel I was going for.
Once I finished all of my stamping I popped out the letters seen above and saved them for my next card. So I set those aside so that I was able to finish my first card up, I then trimmed the paper down a little bit because I decided I wanted a small border around the card. I then took a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 blank card and glued the piece of paper on top. Once the card was put together I felt as if something was missing so I added a few drops of nuvo drops to add a little dimension, I also added some Wink of Stella to add a little shimmer to the flowers and leaves.
For the second card I took the "THANKS" letters from the previous card, I also die cut more of the same letters; about 4 and staked them on top of each other to create a raised letters. For this card I wanted a simple look for it so I glued the letters on to a blank.
